My Carbonate + Trace is crystallising in the bottle or dosing containers, what can I do to fix this and stop it happening?
Our Coral Essentials Carbonate + Trace product is at a concentration of 10,000dKH or 180,000ppm. In cold climates, those where the minimum is below 10 C or 50 F the product can come out of solution and crsytallise. The solution to this is to heat the bottle and contents up in a warm water bath about 40 C or 100 F until the contents have dissolved.
To avoid the Carbonate + Trace crystallising again we suggest you dilute the product by 50%, drop the concentration to 5,000dKH or 90,000ppm, by adding RODI water. Simply add equal amounts of Carbonate + Trace and RODI water in a mixing container and stir thoroughly. You then add this diluted solution to your dosing container or keep in a separate container if dosing manually.
Remember if you dilute the product by 50% you will need to double your dosage amount to maintain the same dosage rate.
