Detailed Manual Dosing TablesAt Coral Essentials we know all tanks are different, all marine aquarists are different, there is no "one size fits all". For this simple reason we have developed a range of products that cater for the first time hobbyist to advanced reefers. Most of us sit somewhere in between, Coral Essentials has everyone covered.
The dosing of our Power Trace range is determined by the quantity of SPS hard coral in your aquarium. Even though your aquarium might be full if it is not SPS dominant then the dosage of Power Trace A, B and C will need to be reduced. See images of tanks below for approximate densities of low, medium and high SPS dominant systems. Also tanks with only small SPS or Acro Frags are considered Low SPS. It is much the same for the other minor element mixes we provide. It is always best to keep a close eye on your coral when you start dosing any new products, systems or the like. Your keen eye and quickly noticing any changes to your tank coral is your best safeguard against incorrect dosing. If you notice any unwanted change in your coral (RTN, colour fading etc.) then please cease dosing immediately.
Dosing outside of the values below is solely the responsibility of the aquarium owner. For heavy SPS dominant system these values can easily be exceeded to gain further positive results. However care needs to be taken and very close monitoring of the coral and water chemistry is required. We recommend regular ICP testing of water chemistry. At the very least, testing against NSW levels of Strontium (for Trace A), Iron and/or Manganese levels (Trace B) Iodine and/or Fluoride levels (Trace C). The same should be done for, Bromide, Boron and Potassium. Dosing Table For Manual Dosing of Power Trace and Individual Elements
The dosing of Power Amino, Power Gro and our Black Label "+" products is not so dependent on the type of coral in your aquarium but more the density. So whether you have SPS, LPS, softies or a mix of all dosing is based on the overall density of coral present. When dosing Phosphate Up and Nitrate Up it is recommended to ensure you test Phosphate and Nitrate levels to determine your aquarium conditions. Overdosing can cause problems and must be avoided.
